These stickers have become all too common around Christchurch over the past 18 months, but there is still something poignant about them. Electricity is part of the lifeblood of our homes and lives - a building without it is almost certainly at the end of its life, even if belongings, clothes, and memories remain.
One of my childhood homes, in Christchurch, New Zealand. Due to the threat of falling rocks from the cliffs it is situated below, it is red stickered and cannot be entered.
